Pimmstastic by the British Museum.
Living here for the past four years has really instilled a deep appreciation for warmth and sunshine, something I never fully appreciated when it was so readily available.
Drinking on a street curb is one of my very favourite activities and embodies what I directly relate to summertime in London - sitting on a street curb, the sun in my face, and a cold drink in my hand (preferably a Pimms - you know, with the fruit and shit, gotta get that 5 a day somehow)
The street curb sitting and drinking is essential…the sun, a glorious luxury.
Why am I not here too?! Thankfully London has finally gotten some sunshine!

Pear multigrain almond muffins.
Which I slathered nutella on…
THATS WHATS UP.
It was a pretty simple recipe as they go, I feel like the recipe needs a little work (yeah Martha Stewart…) as they didn’t rise enough at all — the best part of a muffin is of course, the muffin top and the only time a large muffin top is even remotely acceptable.
ANYWAYS, there was also too much pear, it weighed down the muffin and made it almost soggy in places where gravity was more decisive.
I loved the multigrain, the use of almond powder, and the yogurt was a great touch. It was suggested to use natural yogurt and orange juice which I replaced with apple and pear juice and lemon zest — a good decision on the juice because it turned on the volume of the pear.
All in all, it was great winter warmer on a snowy day!
I need to remember this EVERY TIME I FEEL BORED.

HOW GOOD DOES THIS LOOK?! Because I’m ill, a little blue, at home with the fam and its snowing outside — we have homemade bread and Spanish cheese and tomatoes and roasted peppers… something like this will be lunch today.

Products I Love / grilled cheese and tomato soup
When I was a kid, I hated mussels… I hated all seafood really. How life has changed. Mussels and frites (chips if you’re not feeling as pretentious/fancy as I am right now) and beer is the ultimate meal, Belgians know the way to my heart….
Its also great after work for a quick luxury meal — I’m usually a little sneaky and use the frozen chips from M&S to make it super fast.
